Experience
Although I have no formal teaching training, teaching was a frequent responsibility in my professional career. I am capable of tutoring in any level of mathematics from elementary arithmetic (excluding “common core”) through elementary calculus. I can teach you how to do the math, but much more importantly I will insist on teaching you why the “how to” works. For example, I can show you the mechanical method for extracting a square root, but you will need to learn how that method depends on the square of a binomial.
